About The Siouxville Grinch

So you want to know about The Siouxville Grinch, eh?

Well, my name is Martin Dalcourt, and I was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. I moved to Sioux City, Iowa in 2005, and eventually made my way to Sioux Falls in 2025.

I’m a father to six boys and “Papa” to ten grandkids, plus a great‑grandson — so yes, I have plenty of experience with kiddos!

My creative spark really kicked in around 2015 when I had my first custom-made costume created. I brought it out during events with my company, Monster Karaoke & DJ Services, and both my crew and my family loved it.

In the early years, I visited local daycares and did fun appearances for my grandkids. By 2019, I decided to take things to the next level. I booked more gigs that year, and the following season those same clients called me back wanting even more holiday cheer — it just keeps growing each year (kind of like my heart).

In 2021, I upgraded my suit and began using prosthetic masks. That year brought even more bookings, and interest in the Grinch has continued to grow ever since.

Some of my clients include Little Thinkers Daycare, Hy‑Vee, Seaboard Triumph Foods, Opportunities Unlimited, and The Sioux City Railroad Museum. More recently, Stensland Family Farms Ice Cream Shop and The Falls Overlook Café joined the list.

There have been many in‑home and daycare drop‑ins, and even a time or two at the mall with “the fat guy” for photo ops.

Christmas is a time for joy and laughs — and when I’m around, it’s always a hoot. I’m not only good for a few laughs… there may even be a few pranks up my sleeve.
